DUI charge for Alabama man who crashed into Michigan house

An Alabama man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police say he crashed his car into a home in Michigan. The man was charged with DUI and unlawfully leaving an accident.Local police were alerted to the DUI suspect when he was allegedly involved in a hit and run accident with a tractor-trailer. After a brief search, the suspect was found in the vehicle involved in the crash. Not wishing to be arrested, the man took off when officers attempted to stop him. He led the Michigan authorities on a brief chase before crashing into a home. The impact was severe enough that the Jaws of Life was required to extricate him from the automobile, though damage to the home was said to be minimal. Police claim the car involved was stolen. It was badly damaged in the accident.

Anonymous tips lead to drug charges for one Alabama woman

Sheriff's deputies in one Alabama county were led to a home where one woman was reportedly selling drugs out of her home. When deputies arrived at the home, they found the woman, who allegedly goes by the nickname "The Candy Lady", in the home's bathroom. Authorities say she was trying to flush drugs down the toilet. Inside the home, investigators claim to have found marijuana, firearms, and ammunition.
