Police claim 17-year-old man was involved in murder of five people

When someone is charged with murder there is a lot at stake. People can face a lifetime behind bars or even death. That is why it is critical that someone facing murder charges mount a strong criminal defense against the accusations.

Recently, a 17-year-old man was charged with five counts of capital murder. Police claim that the man was involved in the murder of five men on Jan. 29.

According to police, law enforcement officers were called to a home in Birmingham around 3:30 a.m. for an apparent robbery. When they arrived, they found the bodies of five men.

Police arrested three individuals less than a day after the murders occurred. They were interviewed by police and held in the Birmingham city jail. It would appear that the 17-year-old man was one of the three individuals previously incarcerated.

Few details are known about what led police to the 17-year-old man, but he would do well to consult with a criminal defense attorney who has experience defending people against these kinds of serious charges.

In addition to working on an aggressive defense, an attorney can also investigate every piece of evidence to determine whether or not authorities acted appropriately in their investigation. They can also work to ensure that an individual's rights are protected throughout the process.

Although five people lost their lives in this tragedy, it is important to remember that a person who is charged with a crime is not assumed guilty. Everyone is entitled to a strong defense, as well as a fair trial.
