Four Charged with Cocaine Trafficking in Baldwin County

According to the Press Register, four suspects were charged with trafficking cocaine out of the Spanish Fort area. Following an undercover investigation by the Baldwin County Drug Task Force, authorities arrested the four individuals and searched a home on U.S.31. During the search, the Task Force found cocaine, several thousand dollars in cash, and some stolen property.

All four suspects were charged with trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Each defendant is being held on a bail set at $1 million and the statement by the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office states that more charges are pending. In some situations, a bond of this magnitude may be considered excessive and illegal because it attempts to punish, rather than merely ensure the Defendant's appearance. If faced with such a problem or know someone who has, tell them they need to hire an experienced criminal defense attorney.
