Alabama football players represent consequences of charges

Alabama football fans are no doubt familiar with the recent legal troubles of four freshmen players. Three of the men were charged with second-degree robbery after being accused of attacking and stealing from two fellow University of Alabama students last month. The other player was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. One of the other three men is facing an additional charge of gun possession without a license.

Birmingham Theft Suspect Found Hiding In Home

Lee Osborne, 23, of McCalla, was arrested for theft this week after police found him hiding at a home in Sylvan Springs. Jefferson County sheriff's deputies and Mountain Brook police say they took extra precaution in the apprehension of Osborne, who they say held his small child hostage and barricaded himself last time police attempted to arrest him.
